What we earn, from whom, and what it does not buy.

Some links on this site can be affiliate links. Where one is, and you later pay for that tool, we receive a commission and it costs you nothing extra. Every tool page states which it is. At the time of writing, no tool on this site has an affiliate relationship with us, so nothing here is earning a commission today.

Every tool we mention carries a tag saying how we got access to it, free tier or paid, on every page that mentions it. Where we have no affiliate relationship with a tool, the page says that too, and the link looks different.

A commission never changes what we publish. The order of a comparison is the order the measurements put things in. We say when a free tier is enough, even though a commission only ever arrives when someone upgrades.

We do not publish discount codes. A code you can type lets you bypass the link, and a site that hands out codes is a site that stops being paid for its recommendations. Any reader benefit is delivered by the link or it is not offered.
